Mermaid of the love spells

Hello there! I have not done a drawing in ages! So here is my latest doodle, entitled Mermaid of the love spells. I tried to make it a part under water type theme, with the love letter in the bottle bobbing on top, and the mermaid of the love spells, grabbing it from under the water to work her magic!

Here are some close ups, (i am sorry my scanner has broken!)
I hope you like it, I enjoyed drawing it! See you again soon!

Jack Frost and a Life's Compass

Hello everyone, I began drawing last night with no particular thought in mind. I did however, want something detailed.

I started off with a large circle within three circles, the middle one being the focal point.

I put a sun and moon in the smaller circles, with putting in the world or map in the larger circle, making it like a circle of the universe or what not.in the end I put a compass there. I love compasses!

.
Life's Compass.
To celebrate winter I thought of drawing a celebration of Jack Frost and how he comes in the middle of the night and blows coldness over roof tops and trees!
Hope you like them! Any thoughts?

Doodles and a invitation.

Hello everyone, and and big hello to all new friends! Thank you so much for taking a peek at my drawings! Let me know what you think, honest as you like! I found these doodles in some notebooks I had found in my quest for cleaning, therefore I am living in filth as I went on a scavenger hunt for drawings. But found them I did!
I drew this with big fella in mind, because he is a Pisces and he loves Burger king. (OK, he is the king too, I will give him that.) I finished the drawing, pleasantly surprised with it actually, and then ruined it all by not being able to spell Piesces .......no, Pisces correctly. (It gets me every time!)

I love the idea of a another world community living in the woods with beautifully crafted caravans and everyone dancing and singing around fires, and the ladies weaving incantations, and gazing into Crystal balls their eye lashes flowing gold dust into the ball.

I drawing was me watching Hocus Pocus one Halloween night. Sorry about the too big boobs, I blame Baywatch. I watched it religiously from aged 10 -12 years of age every Saturday afternoon, I even got a lifeguard qualification, I loved it that much.

I watched a old episode recently as a trip down memory lane, and was appalled. I was warped. I am also the worst person to be around when somebody needs help. No use whatsoever.

Butterfly in my hand
I drew this using pastels. I have to be honest, i normally do not use them that often. I use them like crayons and am afraid comments will pop up like "Aww, so cute you put your child's drawing up!"
But I do like some bright block colours once in a while.

That's all for now, I must go clean this place, I can not type any more for sneezing with the dust!

PS: You are invited to a party over at my other blog, clairedulalune loads of people are holding one, go on, it is a Saturday! Go fly over there if you get the chance! Enjoy yourself and goodbye e for now!

The Mermaisy River Map

I drew this map for my Mabon Adventure on my other blog clairedulalune. This map is as close to the actual directions as I could manage.I went to Clark Gardens and Allerton Towers in Liverpool. I got the titles of the places from the actual park itself. The wood is called the young wood as it was only recently planted in 1980 so there is a far few years ahead for the trees!
The hobbit house is actually a disused electrical box covered in ivy at the start of the path and after that were berry trees lacing the path so that is where the title Berry Way came from.

As we walked further along the path, a lots of trees were black and had no leaves and bent towards the path like willow. So that's where the title came from that one.
Perception Alley is actually Woolton Road in Liverpool as you have to cross this road to get to Allerton Towers.

By Allerton Towers is a garden with an archway and through that is a Rose garden plot encircled with a hedge. This is where the fairy archway and Rose butterfly green allotment was made up from.

To age the map for my story, I first photographed my drawing on white paper an then gradually stained it with tea. For the final map I steeped the map in a mixture of tea and coffee over night to give it that really tattered effect.

To see pictures of all the places on the map please go over to my other blog clairedulalune to see the whole adventure!

I hope you like it!

Pirates Cove?

I enjoyed drawing this as I have never used pirates in a theme before, but they seem to go hand in hand with mermaids! I dont like the title of this picture. Any ideas? I just can not think!
